Veteran entertainment exec Stanley Gold has returned to the Beverly Hills law firm Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown after spending 25 years working alongside Roy E. Disney at Shamrock Holdings.
Gold also was on the board of directors at the Walt Disney Co. until 2003, when he and Roy Disney resigned in a high-profile, public drive to oust Michael Eisner.
Gold was prexy-CEO of Shamrock Holdings, Disney’s private investment company. Disney, the nephew of Walt Disney, died Dec. 16.
Gold was a managing partner at Gang Tyre until 1985, when he ankled for Shamrock. He rejoins the firm as of counsel. His practice at Gang Tyre will focus on high-level entertainment financing and corporate deals. He’ll continue to do some work for Shamrock. “Stan is a first-class lawyer and first-class person who fully knows and appreciates the history, the culture and the traditions of Gang Tyre,” Gang Tyre partner Bruce M. Ramer said.
