Duo to co-produce, distribute, license toon show
Gaumont-Alphanim in Gaul has inked with Italy’s Cartoon One to co-produce, distribute and license its “Teen Days” animated series.
The half-hour show is about six teens at music school who dream of winning an international competition. Launched in 2009, first series runs on the Disney Channel in France and on pubcaster RAI in Italy.
Gaumont’s toon subsidiary will co-produce the second season, which is currently under way.
It will also handle distribution for season one in unsigned European territories, Asia (except for Japan), South America, French-speaking Africa and the Middle-East.
Licensing and merchandising rights in French-speaking Europe also come with the package.
Cartoon One retains the series rights for the U.S.
