Alex Walton joining distrib

Veteran exec Alex Walton is joining Exclusive Film Distribution as president of international sales and distribution starting May 1.

The operation handles films from Exclusive Media’s production labels, Hammer Films and Spitfire Pictures, as well as third party pick-ups. He’ll continue to be based in Los Angeles and will report to chairman Guy East.

Peter Naish, previously head of sales, will take on new responsibilities as senior VP of distribution.

Walton worked for three years at Paramount Vantage as senior VP. He was previously at HanWay Films in the U.K. as director of international sales, handling such films as “Match Point,” “Goya’s Ghosts,” “Becoming Jane” and “The Squid and The Whale.”

Exclusive’s in post-production for “Let Me In” for Hammer and Overture, Peter Weir’s “The Way Back” for Spitfire and “The Resident” for Hammer.
