LONDON — Discovery Communications is rolling out its lifestyle channel TLC globally.
TLC will bow in Norway today and will subsequently be available in more than 75 markets, including the U.K., by next spring.
In Norway, TLC will be distributed on the Canal Digital, GET and Lyse platforms.
In Blighty, TLC is expected to feature locally produced fare alongside co-productions and U.S. shows such as “Cake Boss,” “What Not to Wear” and “L.A. Ink.”
Discovery said TLC grew its audience in the U.S. last year by 13% in a key female demo, becoming the eighth most popular network among women 25-54.
