LONDON — International cabler Chello Zone has picked up a raft of programs from RDF Rights for its Zone Reality channel, which airs across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The deal includes reality shows “Missing Persons Unit US,” “Nightmare in Suburbia,” “Boy in a Million,” “The Boy Who Will Never Grow,” “Girl Who Lives in the Dark,” “World’s Smartest Boy” and “World’s Largest Family,” as well as a renewal of “Half Body, Whole Life.”
The deal was brokered by Sam Rowden, Chello Zone’s director of programming for reality, and Naomi Biggins, vice president of sales for RDF Rights.
Launched in 1999, Zone Reality airs programming dedicated to real life drama, crime and the unexplained. It is broadcast in 100 countries in 18 languages to more than 24 million homes.
Chello Zone, which is the European content division of Liberty Global, owns and operates five channel brands: Zone Reality, Zone Romantica, Fantasy, Extreme Sports Channel and pre-school channel JimJam.
