Tokyo Disneyland operator Oriental Land has announced that the park will debut a 3D attraction on Jan. 24.
Called Mickey’s Philharmonic, the 11-minute performance will be sited in a 454-seat theater costing $67 million to build. Visitors will be treated to 3D images and other effects.
In addition to Mickey Mouse, the conductor of the attraction’s orchestra, various Disney characters will make guest appearances, including Donald Duck and the stars of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin” and “Peter Pan.”
Mickey’s Philharmonic is Tokyo Disneyland’s 43rd attraction.
In fiscal 2009, ending in March, Tokyo Disneyland and neighboring Tokyo DisneySea notched up 25,818,000 admissions — the second-largest figure in the parks’ history.
