Moscow, St. Petersburg webs to carry programming
LONDON — Sony Pictures Television has beefed up its Russian coverage by agreeing to a carriage deal for its Sony Entertainment Television web with Natl. Cable Networks and St. Petersburg Cable Television.
“Extending our distribution in Moscow and St. Petersburg, in partnership with NCN and SPCT, is a big step forward for our business in Russia,” said Ross Hair, SPT’s executive VP of international networks.
The web, which bowed in Russia last year, is available in more than 5 million Russian pay TV homes, according to SPT.
Sony Entertainment Television’s lineup includes “Sex and the City,” “Friends,” “Californication,” “30 Rock” and “Will and Grace.”
