TBS renews ‘My Boys’

Show returns for fourth season

TBS comedy “My Boys” is coming back for a fourth season.

Cabler picked up the Sony Television skein for nine episodes. New season will bow in 2010.

Series, which launched in November 2006, saw an 11% uptick in adults 18-34 earlier this year — enough of an impetus for Turner to order a new season.

“My Boys” stars Jordana Spiro as a Chicago sportswriter continually on the hunt for Mr. Right. Kyle Howard, Reid Scott and Kellee Stewart co-star as her best friends. Standup comedian Jim Gaffigan, who played Spiro’s brother on the first three seasons, is not returning.

Betsy Thomas, Jamie Tarses and Gavin Polone are exec producers. Pariah and Two Out Prods. produce.

TBS is preparing to enter the latenight fray when “Lopez Tonight,” starring George Lopez, debuts Nov. 9.
