Fox's 'Sit Down' slated for Sundays
“Prison Break” has completed its primetime sentence.
The drama will end its run after four seasons this spring, Fox announced Tuesday morning. “Prison Break” returns to the net’s sked on Friday, April 17 at 8 p.m. for a final lap.
20th Century Fox TV is behind the show, which stars Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, William Fichtner, Michael Rapaport, Amaury Nolasco and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe. Paul Sheuring, Matt Olmstead, Kevin Hooks, Marty Adelstein, Dawn Parouse, Neal Moritz and Brett Ratner exec produce.
In other Fox news, net confirmed that its “American Idol” results show will air in its traditional Wednesday 9 p.m. slot after all. (It was originally believed that the “Idol” results would continue at 8 p.m., where it will air early in the season.)
“Idol’s” Wednesday edition will move to 9 p.m. once the show reverts to its in-studio competition phase. That means new drama “Lie to Me,” which is initially airing behind “Idol” on Wednesdays at 9 p.m., will slide down to 8.
In doing so, Fox notes that “Lie to Me” will face less powerful drama competish.
Also, Fox announced that new animated comedy “Sit Down, Shut Up” will air Sundays at 8:30 p.m. starting April 19.
