'Cristina' won't get fourth season pick up
Twentieth Television will not renew syndie gaveler “Cristina’s Court” for a fourth season.
The studio will continue to produce original episodes of the half-hour court strip through September. Series has hovered at about a 1.0 household rating this season.
Starring Judge Cristina Perez, “Cristina’s Court” was one of two courtshows launched in 2006 that were built around Latin litigators, with Sony Pictures TV bowing “Judge Maria Lopez” the same year. Sony cancelled the latter series last fall.
“We would like to thank Cristina Perez as well as executive producer Peter Brennan, Lisa Lew and the entire staff for producing this high-quality, Emmy Award-winning television court program,” said Twentieth TV prexy-chief operating officer Bob Cook in a statement.
