“Law & Order: SVU” standoff continues, but for how long?

By all accounts, it's a true standoff between thesps Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni and NBC/Universal Media Studios over a new deal to bring them back to the show for an eleventh season. Neither camp has budged in weeks.

    I truly can’t believe that NBC is fighting this. They need to pull up their big girl panties and admit the show would crash and burn without Meloni and Hargitay. This isn’t the rest of the L&O universe with a revolving door for actors. Those two ARE SVU and without them a lot of viewers will walk away!
