LONDON — BBC Worldwide Channels has been on a spending spree at the BBC’s Showcase sales mart, which wrapped Thursday.

BBCWC has picked up single dramas, “One Step Behind,” “Firewall” and “Sidetracked” for BBC Entertainment in Latin America and India.

“Torchwood: Children of Earth” will air on BBC Entertainment in South Africa, UKTV in Australia and BBC America in the U.S. where “Torchwood” has already made an impact.

Also set to air on BBC America and BBC Entertainment in Asia, Africa, India, Poland and Scandinavia is “Any Dream Will Do,” following the search for cast for “Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”

Factual acquisitions include “Bruce Parry’s Amazon” (sold to BBC HD in Australia and BBC Knowledge in Australia, Africa and Poland); “Paul Merton in India” (BBC Entertainment in India and BBC Knowledge in Poland); and natural history series “South Pacific” (BBC HD in Oz).
