'Japanese Game Show' makes early return

ABC is making a few summer schedule tweaks, including an earlier-than-anticipated return for “I Survived a Japanese Game Show.”

“Japanese Game Show’s” second season premiere has now been moved up to June 17, behind “Wipeout.”

Wednesday comedies “Surviving Suburbia” and “The Goode Family,” meanwhile, will now move to Fridays at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively, starting June 12.

“Suburbia” and “Goode” have been pulled off Wednesdays immediately, which means ABC will air back-to-back originals of “Wipeout” next Wednesday. On Fridays, the two comedies will take the place of “Wife Swap” repeats.

“Japanese Game Show” had originally been slated for a July 8 launch.
