One of Blighty’s biggest production jobs has gone to the outgoing head of U.S. cable web the Travel Channel.

Pat Younge succeeds Peter Salmon as chief creative officer of BBC Vision Prods. Younge will be responsible for what the BBC claims is the world’s largest content creator, delivering shows including “Doctor Who,” “Strictly Come Dancing” and blue-collar soap “EastEnders.”

He will report to BBC Vision topper Jana Bennett. Younge is a former head of BBC sports programs.
