New network similar to Latin American version
Warner Bros. and Turner are pushing their smallscreen content into India in a big way.
Studio will launch WB, a 24-hour Warner-branded channel that will bring its TV and film library to the country beginning March 15. Programming will be licensed from Warner Bros.’ Intl. TV Distribution unit.
The new web is similar to the Latin American Warner Channel, which is linear with no on-demand component. Warner Bros. already has on-demand efforts in Germany, the U.K., Italy and several other territories.
Earlier this week, Turner launched Real, a Hindi general entertainment net.
