Project is set for a January bow
TruTV has picked up eight hours of the untitled series, which will look at life inside the Vegas county jail. John Langley and Morgan Langley are exec producers.
It’s a return to the clink for both Langley and TruTV, which previously collaborated on “Inside American Jail” (which also ran on MyNetworkTV as “Jail”).
“We’ve always loved Las Vegas as a venue,” Morgan Langley said. “And Las Vegas is truly America’s jail — it’s got the most exciting officers and the coolest characters and stories. So we figured, why not do a show all about Vegas?”
Langley said the facility — the official name is the Clark County Detention Center — gets a unique mix of criminals alongside vacationers whose Vegas partying got out of hand.
Project, which has the working title “Las Vegas Lockdown” — is set for a January bow.
“This series is a perfect chance for people who may never set foot inside a jail to see what life is really like behind bars,” said TruTV exec VP-general manager Marc Juris.
Besides the Langleys, TruTV’s Jessica Shreeve is also exec producing, while Robyn Hutt is the exec in charge of production.
