Travel Channel joins ‘Tribe’

Network nabs episodes from Alchemy Reality

HOLLYWOOD — The Travel Channel has picked up 12 episodes of “Worldwide Tribe,” repping the first-ever U.S. order for producer Alchemy Reality.

“Worldwide Tribe” revolves around tattooing around the globe — including Nepal, Japan, Polynesia, Thailand, Canada, Israel, Germany and Spain. Tattoo artists Chris Nunez, Ami James and “apprentice” Yoji Harada host.

Show was developed and produced by Alchemy Reality and Love Hate Prods. Mike Beale, Adena Chawke, Craig Borders, Elizabeth Browde, Nunez and James will exec produce.

Show is set to be sold at the upcoming MIP TV confab by Alchemy Reality (the nonscripted arm of Alchemy TV Group).

Also at MIP, Alchemy Reality has worldwide distrib rights for series including Authentic Entertainment’s “You’re Wearing That?!” (produced in the U.S. for WE TV) as well as Danish show “The Truth About” (from Koncern TV and Film for TV2 Denmark) and the BBC Switch series “Scene Stealers.”
