TLC adds ‘Mall of America’ to lineup

'Ghost Intervention' also given series order

TLC has given a full-series order to “Mall Cops: Mall of America” and a four-episode OK for docuseries “Ghost Intervention.”

Cabler aired “Mall Cops” as a one-hour backdoor pilot in the fall and drew 1.2 million viewers. Production has already begun and skein is scheduled to air in first quarter 2010.

Show will take place at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., the largest mall in the United States. September Films produces. Peter Davey and Sheldon Lazarus are exec producers.

“Ghost Intervention,” about a group of women with psychic abilities who help families dealing with paranormal activity in their homes, preems Dec. 12. Show is produced by Craig Piligian’s Pilgrim Films and Television.

TLC airs the series finale of “Jon and Kate Plus 8” tonight. Series is the highest-rated show in the net’s history, but numbers tumbled this season after Jon and Kate Gosselin separated.
