Sony shuffles music execs

New spots for Richard Story, Kevin Lawrie

Sony Music has reassigned execs in charge of its international territories.

Former European exec Richard Story, will take over as prexy of Sony’s Commercial Music Group, overseeing international catalog and strategic marketing, as well as the company’s Legacy Recordings label.

Filling Story’s position as prexy of Sony’s European division, will be Kevin Lawrie; while Afo Verde will step up as the new prexy of Sony’s Latin region.

Alan Newham, the newly appointed exec VP of international markets, will assist in the expansion of non-traditional business activities in Europe and continue to undertake worldwide initiatives.
