RDF USA bulks up L.A. team

O'Donohoe named executive VP

RDF USA continues to expand its L.A.-based team, tapping Claire O’Donohoe as exec veep. She will help run the development department.

The shingle also has brought aboard Sunny Foscue to serve as director of casting, while Gerald Massimei has been named lead producer of development.

The three new staffers bring RDF USA’s nonscripted development team to 15.

O’Donohoe will help create and develop new and existing nonscripted fare for both broadcast and cable. She’ll report to RDF USA chief exec Chris Coelen.

“Claire has established a stellar reputation in the U.K. and has already begun to make her mark in the U.S.,” Coelen said.

Across the pond, O’Donohoe produced series such as “Big Brother,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Popstars,” “Fame Academy” and “The Games.” She helped establish the “Big Brother” franchise at Endemol; before that, she was a researcher at Granada.

Here in the U.S., she’s worked on series such as NBC’s “American Gladiators” and Bravo’s “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover.”

O’Donohoe will work with West Coast-based execs Greg Goldman, Mike Duffy and Sara Hansemann, as well as New York-based Lauren Gellert, Charles Tremayne and Kevin Duncan.

As for Foscue, who will oversee talent casting, she has previously worked on RDF series such as “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” and “Dance Machine.” Massimei will handle development materials and create style guides for RDF shows; he previously worked on TV and commercial documentaries.

RDF USA series include “Wife Swap,” “Secret Millionaire” and the upcoming “Hitched or Ditched.”
