The NBC Agency has tapped Jim Vescera to head up its newly consolidated West Coast creative team.
The change merges the network’s on-air promotion and off-air advertising and digital teams into a single creative group. Vescera reports to NBC Entertainment marketing president Adam Stotsky, who announced the changes.
“Jim has a proven capacity to build and lead teams of creative people against a singular vision,” Stotsky said.
Under Vescera, Dave Dore has been named senior VP/creative director for NBC Entertainment marketing, overseeing all print and off-air advertising for NBC Entertainment fare. He’ll work closely with John-David Currey, the senior VP/creative director who oversees the net’s on-air promotion team.
Also, Lorenzo de Guttadauro was named senior VP of brand creative at NBC Entertainment. He’ll focus on the NBC network brand and also lead the on-air promo efforts of the 2010 Winter Olympics as creative director.
“We have three multi-talented, versatile and progressive leaders that will help to keep the NBC Agency at the top of its game,” Vescera said.
Dore was previously VP of special projects for the NBC Agency, handling branding efforts and also serving as creative director for Sunday Night Football.
His credits also include directing a pilot for the BBC and working in the marketing department at the WB.
De Guttadauro was previously VP of brand strategy; before joining the NBC Agency, he was VP of brand creative and promotion at USA Network.
Vescera’s team also includes Ron Hayes, senior VP and creative director/special projects for on-air promotion; and Larry Hart, senior vice president.
