Masters to host KCRW’s ‘Business’

Showbiz journalist takes over weekly show

Longtime showbiz journo Kim Masters has been tapped as the new host of KCRW’s “The Business.”

Masters will take over the weekly biz-focused show from Claude Brodesser-Akner on March 16. Half-hour airs Mondays at 2:30 p.m. on KCRW and is syndicated in Gotham and other markets.

Brodesser-Akner, who is the L.A. bureau chief for Advertising Age and a Daily Variety alum, has hosted the show since its inception in 2004.

Masters most recently covered Hollywood for National Public Radio. She’s been a contributing editor to Vanity Fair, Esquire and Time and has also written for Slate.com, Premiere and the New York Times, among others.
