Endemol unit signs deal with reality company

Endemol’s Southern Star Intl. has signed on as the exclusive international distributor for U.S. reality shingle LMNO Prods.

Under the arrangement, Southern Star is already set to take out “The Little Couple,” a 12-episode series that LMNO is producing for TLC. Show, which launched this week, follows newlyweds — both under 4 feet tall — as they tackle life together.

Pact also includes LMNO’s library catalog, which includes more than 950 hours of programming. LMNO’s past series include “Kids Say the Darndest Things” and “Guinness World Records: Primetime.”

Company is also behind programs such as the Discovery Science special “Meteorite Man” and Discovery Channel’s “Steve Fossett: What Went Wrong?”

“LMNO has the distinction of being a reality company with a substantial library,” said LMNO chief exec Eric Schotz. “In this global economy it is critical to have partnerships that take you from being just another company to an international business.”

Endemol acquired Southern Star in January.
