Lifetime celebrates ‘Diva’ in L.A.

House party commemorates season 2 pickup

It was a night to celebrate your inner-diva at Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva” house party Sunday in the Hollywood Hills.

Co-producer Craig Zadan hosted the soiree at his private residence, which celebrated an early pickup for the skein’s second season. Guest stars Liza Minnelli and Paula Abdul, as well as star Brooke Elliott, turned out for the event.

“It’s the first time everyone’s gotten together,” said Zadan, who was joined by his producing partner Neil Meron and creator Josh Berman. “Also, any excuse to get Lance Bass into the house is worth it.”

Lifetime prexy Andrea Wong talked up the show’s popularity and the upcoming season, saying, “People are banging down (Josh’s) door with phone calls, wanting to be guest stars.”
