Four-night competition series airs in December

Nick Lachey will host NBC’s a capella miniseries competition “The Sing-Off,” which will run in two-hour installments over four nights the week of Dec. 14.

“Sing-Off” will pit eight a capella groups performing live in a tournament for a $100,000 prize and Epic/Sony recording contract. Ben Folds (Ben Folds Five) and Shawn Stockman (Boyz II Men) will serve as judges, along with a guest arbiter each session.

Event will air on the Peacock from 8-10 p.m. on Dec. 14, 15, 16 and 21. Joel Gallen, Deborah Newmyer and Sam Weisman are exec producing the series, which is produced by Tenth Planet Prods., Outlaw Prods. and Sony Pictures Television.
