Actor to star in horror-comedy ‘Zombie Roadkill’
Thomas Haden Church has signed on to star in “Zombie Roadkill,” a horror comedy from on-demand network FearNet.
Haden Church stars as a park ranger who partners with a teen (David Dorfman) to escape a portion of highway where roadkill is resurrected as flesh-eating zombie animals.
Ghost House Pictures is behind the project, which will be produced as six episodes, each lasting between four and five minutes. “Zombie Roadkill” will bow next spring on FearNet’s website and on its On Demand VOD network.
Henry Gayden is writing the series, while David Green will direct. FearNet’s Jim Burns is exec producer, while Ghost House Pictures’ Aaron Lam is producing.
Quantum FX is handing the special effects.
Project is the fourth that Ghost House Pictures has produced for FearNet; they’ve also collaborated on the originals “Devil’s Trade,” “30 Days of Night: Blood Trails” and “30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust.”
FearNet’s other Web originals include “Fear Clinic,” starring Robert Englund.
