Actor tapped for conference's Chairman Award

Kelsey Grammer has been tabbed to receive the Television Chairman’s Award at the NAB conference April 20 in Las Vegas.

Grammer will be the first recipient of the award, which was established to recognize individuals who’ve had a significant breakthrough in one or more specific disciplines in television.

Grammer has won five Emmys, four as lead actor for his portrayal of Frasier Crane on the long-running NBC sitcom “Frasier.” He currently is exec producer on NBC’s “Medium” and CW’s “The Game.”
