Network gives its largest single-season order ever

Comedy Central is confident in the future of “Tosh.0.” in a big way.Cabler not only ordered a second season of the skein but gave it a 25-episode pickup — the largest single-season order of a weekly series in the history of the laff net. Season will debut at 10:30 p.m. Jan. 13.

Show offers the humor and commentary of Daniel Tosh, who skewers the infinite offerings of the Internet.

First season consisted of 16 episodes and averaged 1.3 million viewers.

Net also signed Tosh for a one-hour standup special with an undetermined airdate.

Tosh.0.” is exec produced by Tosh and Scott Tomlinson.

Also, Comedy Central will be going back to a single roast in 2010. Net had offered one every year but doubled that in 2009 with Larry the Cable Guy and Joan Rivers airing in March and August, respectively.

Ratings for Larry the Cable Guy were strong but numbers dropped for the Rivers’ soiree. No roastee has been announced for the upcoming year.
