CBS renews ‘The Doctors’

Syndicated series set for another two years

CBS Television Distribution has renewed its syndie strip “The Doctors” for two more seasons, through the 2011-12 season.

Skein is cleared to run through a fourth season on TV stations covering 91% of TV households, including some CBS O&Os and outlets owned by Gannett, Scripps Howard and Belo Television.

“Doctors” bowed in September 2008. Skein features a team of four physicians discussing health issues and specific issues raised by guests. Jay McGraw, son of fellow CBS yakker Dr. Phil McGraw, exec produces the series for his Stage 29 Prods. Jay McGraw and Phil McGraw are exec producers, along with Carla Pennington.
