Cassidy joins Fox TV team

Exec named VP of comedy development

Former ABC Studios exec Carolyn Cassidy has joined 20th Century Fox TV as VP of comedy development.

Appointment was announced Monday by 20th creative affairs exec VP Jennifer Nicholson Salke. Cassidy will report to comedy development senior VP Jonathan Davis.

Cassidy will help develop new projects with scribes based at the studio, as well as scout for new talent and series ideas.

Cassidy previously served as VP of comedy development at ABC Studios, where she developed shows such as ABC’s “Samantha Who?” and ABC Family’s “Ruby and the Rockits.”

Before ABC, she was a VP of current series at NBC and a business affairs assistant at CBS Enterprises.
