BBC Worldwide packs Pick for post

Exec named VP of programming development

BBC Worldwide has named former “Dancing With the Stars” co-exec producer Izzie Pick as its VP of programming development.

Pick will manage BBC Worldwide’s talent department while looking for opportunities to develop in the nonscripted arena, with an eye toward distribution on U.S. networks. She will report to BBC Worldwide senior veep of programming John Hesling.

Pick began working directly for BBC Worldwide in January 2008, producing pilots and run-throughs for the development team and developing talent-development plans for current productions. She also helped develop “MTV’s Top Pop Group.”

Pick’s credits as a producer in the U.K. include “Strictly Come Dancing” (the U.K. version of “Dancing With the Stars”), “Big Brother” and “Celebrity Big Brother.”

“Izzie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in talent management, development and production for reality television,” said Jane Tranter, BBC Worldwide exec veep of programming and production.
