Series mixes technologies with pro athletes

“Sport Science” is coming to ESPN.

Cabler has picked up the reality skein that formerly ran for two seasons on Fox Sports Net and will begin airing episodes in January. ESPN will also showcase segments of the show on “SportsCenter,” “College GameDay” and other signature programs, as well as online.

Half-hour “Sport Science,” from Base Prods., uses professional athletes to discuss cutting-edge technologies that help test the limits of human abilities and performance.

In previous episodes, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and pro golfer Padraig Harrington have partaken in experiments.

John Brenkus, who also acts as host, and Mickey Stern are exec producers.
