Pavlic rejoins co. as sr. VP creative advertising

HOLLYWOOD — Michael Pavlic has rejoined Sony Pictures Worldwide Marketing and Distribution as senior VP of creative advertising.

From 2003-05, he worked at Sony Pictures as manager of creative advertising and helped produce ad campaigns for such films as “Hitch,” “The Grudge” and “Something’s Gotta Give.”

Pavlic will oversee the creative ad campaigns, including theatrical trailers, TV and radio spots, and in-theater and outdoor print advertising for several of the studio’s upcoming releases, including “The Green Hornet,” “Battle: Los Angeles” and the CGI-animated pic “Hotel Transylvania.” He will report to Tommy Gargotta, president of worldwide creative advertising.

Pavlic most recently was producer-editor at Big Picture Entertainment, where he conceived and executed marketing materials for such films as “Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” two “Pirates of the Caribbean” films and “Open Season.”
