Participant Media has upped Lynn Hirshfield to senior veep of publishing for the issues-oriented production company.
Hirshfield joined Participant Media in January 2007 and is responsible for the company’s first publishing deal. The four-tome lineup with PublicAffairs Books includes “Food Inc.,” a companion to the docu bowing June 12.
Hirschfield also authored “Girls Gone Green,” part of Participant’s collaboration with Penguin and Puffin Books on a series of activist guides for young readers. “Girls” compiles tips from celebs such as Hayden Panettiere and Alicia Silverstone, with profiles of real girls involved in the environmental movement to help others go green.
