Event switches to Saban Theater in Beverly Hills

The 2010 William S. Paley Television Festival is starting to take shape, and spontaneous singing might just break out.

Fox’s frosh hit “Glee” has been selected as one of the programs to be featured at the TV gabfest, which is set for Feb. 26-March 14. Fest is moving locations from the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood to the Saban Theater (formerly the Wilshire Theater) in Beverly Hills.

Move was made to accommodate a larger aud. The Saban holds approximately 1,800 seats, while the Dome is in the mid-800 range, and the Paley Fest is a major moneymaker for the Paley Center for Media.

This will give us a better opportunity to serve more fans,” said a Paley spokeswoman.

Only one other show besides “Glee” has been announced. CW skein “The Vampire Diaries,” which airs at 8 p.m. Thursdays, will also be feted.

Glee” finished its fall season run last Wednesday and will return to Fox on April 13.
