Agent oversaw agency's digital practice

Lewis Henderson, who serves as head of the William Morris Agency’s digital media group, is ankling the tenpercentery after 17 years.

Henderson, who has overseen the agency’s digital practice since it was formed in 2006, said he was leaving to pursue other opportunities and that the departure “was purely driven by my desire to remove my agent hat and pursue a more entrepreneurial role.”

Agent has been one of the more prolific dealmakers in the new-media space and has long spearheaded online and mobile content deals for the tenpercentery’s clients, as well as individual companies the agency has repped.

He started his WMA career in the mailroom in 1989 and moved his way up through the agency’s TV department and later consulting division.

“We wish him the best, and look forward to working with him again in the future,” said WMA chairman and CEO Jim Wiatt.

Henderson leaves WMA at the end of the month.
