While Bollywood talent plots the way into Hollywood, the road is becoming a two-way street, albeit in a small way.
Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh will make cameo appearances in Hindi film “Kambakkth ishq” (Incredible Love), which Eros Intl. will release March 29.
The pic shot in Los Angeles last summer, with a plot revolving around the romance between a Hollywood stuntman, played by Akshay Kumar, and a model (Kareena Kapoor).
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala says, “Since the film is set in Hollywood and blends the glitterati/movie icon imagery of Hollywood, both Sylvester Stallone and Denise Richards are an integral part of the film.”
The pic, budgeted between $12 million-$15 million and directed by tyro Sabir Khan, finished shooting over 35 days, Nadiadwala says.
It’s not the first Bollywood movie to feature a Western cameo. Last year’s “Singh Is Kingg” featured Snoop Dogg in a song sequence.
“The idea to collaborate with international talent was determined by the script and its setting in Hollywood,” Nadiadwala says.
