Wardell Querzergue, “The Creole Beethoven,” will be honored with a tribute concert at the Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall on July 19.
The legendary New Orleans arranger/producer/songwriter of hits such as “Mr. Big Stuff” and “Barefootin,” has worked with dozens of blues, soul, pop and jazz artists, including B.B. King, Willie Nelson and Etta James.
The Lincoln Center Tribute will feature Dr. John, the Dixie Kups, Jean Knight and other artists from his hit recordings.
