Cyrus, Adele, Clarkson, Lewis kick off reboot

VH1 is resurrecting its “Divas” franchise after a four-year break.

Cabler announced Tuesday that “VH1 Divas” will return with a new live concert special on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 9 p.m.

Latest edition will focus on a younger crop of singers – including Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus.

Program will be telecast from the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House. Additional performers and presenters will be announced later.

“An amazingly talented group of young women have successfully launched themselves into the global music scene since our last ‘VH1 Divas’ show,” said VH1 original music production/development EVP Lee Rolontz.

Rolontz will exec produce with Rick Krim and Patrizia DiMaria. Proceeds from the event go to VH1’s Save the Music Foundation.

First premiering in 1998, past “VH1 Divas” specials have included Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Cher, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan and Mary J. Blige.
