Top nominees to perform at Grammys

Beyonce, Swift, Lady Antebellum set for ceremony

The Recording Academy announced Tuesday that several of the top nominees for the 52nd Grammy Awards — Beyonce, Taylor Swift, the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Lady Antebellum ­ — have signed on as performers at the ceremony.

Glittery bill should ensure the annual spectacle of big wins by acts appearing on the televised show. CBS will broadcast the 2010 Grammys from Staples Center in L.A. on Jan. 31.

R&B star Beyonce leads the year’s field with 10 bids, followed by country-pop vocalist Swift (eight), hip-hop act the Peas and neo-soul man Maxwell (six) and country group Lady Antebellum (two).

Balloting for next year’s Grammys closes Jan. 8.
