Janis Joplin subject of ‘Kozmic Blues’

Hall of Fame's series begins November 9

Speaking of ’60s-era icons, Janis Joplin will be the subject of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s 14th annual American Music Masters series during the weeklong program “Kozmic Blues: The Life and Music of Janis Joplin,” beginning Nov. 9. As part of the festivities in Cleveland — which include panels, films and educational programs — a tribute concert will be held Nov. 14, with performers to be announced. The series, which began in 1996, is a co-production with Case Western Reserve U.
