‘Wonderland’ sets creative team

Hilferty, Patel, Gallo all onboard

The Frank Wildhorn tuner “Wonderland: Alice’s New Musical Adventure” has put together a creative team of Rialto vets for its Tampa, Fla., preem in December.

Costume designer Susan Hilferty (“Wicked”), set designer Neil Patel (“Sideman”) and lighting designer Paul Gallo (“Pal Joey”) are on board for the “Alice in Wonderland” update. Marguerite Derricks (the upcoming “Fame” pic) choreographs, with video and projections by Sven Ortel (“All My Sons”).

Tuner has music by Wildhorn (“Jekyll and Hyde”) and books and lyrics by Jack Murphy. Gregory Boyd helms.

After a run in Tampa that opens Dec. 5, “Wonderland” will have a stint in January at Houston’s Alley Theater, where Boyd is a.d.
