Thesps ‘Park’ in Norris play

Wood, Shamos, Parisse set to appear

Frank Wood (“Side Man”), Annie Parisse (“Becky Shaw”) and Jeremy Shamos (“100 Saints You Should Know”) are among the thesps who will appear in “Clybourne Park,” the new play by Bruce Norris that will preem early next year at Playwrights Horizons.

Crystal A. Dickinson (“Ruined”), Damon Gupton (“Inked Baby”), Christina Kirk (“God’s Ear”) and Brendan Griffin also are among the cast of the production, to be helmed by Pam MacKinnon (“Peter and Jerry”).

Play by Norris (“The Pain and the Itch”) centers on race relations and gentrification in the titular Chicago neighborhood, also the setting of “A Raisin in the Sun.” “Park” begins previews Jan. 29 ahead of a Feb. 21 opening.
