Mamet, Coen, Alba added to benefit

Playwrights David Mamet and Ethan Coen and thesps Mary Steenbergen, Ted Danson and Jessica Alba are among the lineup for the Atlantic Theater Company’s Oct. 19 benefit, “The 24 Hour Plays,” a series of short works scripted, rehearsed and performed in a single day.

Also lending their talents to the gig, proceeds from which will go to a scholarship fund for students of the Atlantic Acting School, are scribes Jez Butterworth and Lucy Thurber; directors Neil Pepe, Henry Wishcamper and Jackson Gay; and actors Jonathan Cake, Jason Ritter, Rebecca Pidgeon, Kristen Johnston and Siobhan Fallon.
