Elizabeth Marvel, David Wilson Barnes, Bill Camp, Laila Robins, Patch Darragh and Mary McCann are among the thesps who will spend a week in Colorado participating in the Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival.
Marvel, Barnes, Camp and Robbins will all appear in the latest play by Theresa Rebeck, “Poor Behavior,” developed with Actors Theater of Louisville. ATL a.d. Marc Masterson directs.
McCann (“Spring Awakening”), Darragh (“Crimes of the Heart”) and Elizabeth Olsen are among the thesps working on Lucy Thurber’s “Bottom of the World,” developed with Atlantic Theater Company and helmed by Atlantic a.d. Neil Pepe.
Chris Mazza, Jenna Panther, Jeanne Paulsen and Larry Paulsen will star in Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder’s play “The Bone Orchard,” developed with Denver Center Theater and directed by Lawrence Hecht.
Also on the bill is a new dance work choreographed by Camille Brown.
Fest, located in Steamboat Springs, Colo., partners with theater companies to support the development of new work. Alums of the fest include tuner “What’s That Smell?,” which was developed last year as part of the fest and went on to a Gotham engagement produced by the Atlantic.
The 12th annual fest culminates in a showcase of readings that runs June 19-21.
