MTC adds to ‘Ruined’ run

'Third Story' also extends stay

Manhattan Theater Club has tacked two weeks onto the run of its production of “Ruined,” one of two Off Broadway offerings to announce extensions Wednesday.

Following an engagement at Chicago’s Goodman Theater — which co-produced the show with MTC — “Ruined” opened Tuesday to strong notices. Latest play by Lynn Nottage (“Intimate Apparel”) centers on a bar and brothel in the war-torn Congo.

Also extending is MCC’s Off Broadway staging of Charles Busch’s comedy “The Third Story,” which now runs through March 15. “Ruined” will play through April 12.
