David Cromer returns to ‘Our Town’

Thesp will play role of Stage Manager again

Director-actor David Cromer will return to playing the role of the Stage Manager in his Off Broadway staging of “Our Town” for a brief holiday stint.

Cromer, who recently helmed the short-lived but well-reviewed Broadway revival of “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” originated the part in his revival of the Thornton Wilder classic, which opened Off Broadway in February after a hit run in Chi.

Cromer fills in between Jason Butler Harner, who initially replaced Cromer in the production, and Stephen Kunken (“Rock and Roll”), who will take over the role starting Jan. 5. Cromer’s engagement begins Dec. 22.
