Barbara Walsh set for ‘Class’

Actress replaces Kate Mulgrew

Barbara Walsh will topline the Paper Mill Playhouse production of “Master Class,” replacing the previously announced Kate Mulgrew.

Walsh (“Company,” “Falsettos”) will play opera diva Maria Callas in the 1995 Terrence McNally play. Mulgrew’s withdrawal was attributed to a change in the thesp’s sked.

Wendy C. Goldberg helms a cast that also includes Sarah Uriarte Berry (“The Light in the Piazza,” “Taboo”). Production begins previews March 4 with a press opening set for March 8.
