Raul Esparza to play Orsino

Audra McDonald and Raul Esparza are among the thesps joining Anne Hathaway in the Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park production of “Twelfth Night.”

McDonald (“110 in the Shade,” “Private Practice”) will play the countess Olivia, with Esparza (“Company”) portraying music-loving duke Orsino.

Also among the cast will be Hamish Linklater (“The New Adventures of Old Christine”) and Jay O. Sanders as the prankster drunks Andrew Aguecheek and Toby Belch, respectively, with Michael Cumpsty playing the object of their torment, Malvolio. David Pittu (“What’s That Smell?”) plays the clown Feste.

Helmed by Daniel Sullivan (“Proof”), “Twelfth Night” plays Central Park’s Delacorte Theater June 10-July 12. Complete cast remains to be announced.
