USC Scripter to fete Michael Chabon

'Clay' author wins Literary Achievement Award

Michael Chabon will be feted with the 2009 Scripter Literary Achievement Award at the 21st annual USC Libraries Scripter Award gala Jan. 30 in USC’s Doheny Memorial Library.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “Wonder Boys,” “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay” and “The Yiddish Policemen’s Union” was previously awarded the Scripter Award for “Wonder Boys” in 2001.

Finalists for this year’s award include “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Iron Man,” “The Reader,” “Revolutionary Road” and “Slumdog Millionaire.”
